Started in mid-2006, the Midnight Podcast has been the authority on everything zombie. The show features reviews and rants about zombie movies, music, books, comics, and collectibles, and often digresses into not-quite-zombie topics. It’s the longest-running zombie podcast out there, and certainly one of the longest-running horror podcasts ever.
The Midnight Podcast has made such an impact on the horror podcasting world that it was one of the podcasts featured in Rue Morgue magazine in 2007.
Original host Root Rot, alongside co-hosts such as Hellal, Sarah, and Rock and Roll Ray, called it quits when Episode 100 hit in September 2008. Not wanting to see the Midnight Podcast come to an end, Root Rot handed the podcast off to long-time contributor Corey.
The philosophy of the Midnight Podcast is this: we do what we want, and tell it how we see it. We won’t sell out or run commercials. The web site won’t run any advertisements or beg for donations. If you want to help out, that’s great, let us know, but we’re not going to advertise it.
It’s only fair to you — the listener. And if you don’t like what we have to say, don’t listen. In fact, start your own podcast. We’d like nothing better than to see as many podcasts spring up as possible.
