episode156

This episode may be a few hours late coming out today, but I have a really good reason — I got to see Colin at the Eerie Horror Film Festival. You’ll hear my review of it and a zombie short that I saw there next week!

I’m really happy to have 2 guests on the show this week: Buzz Zombie from Buzz-Works. We talk about all kinds of things, including the new CD Zombie Influx. If you go to the web site and order something, mention that you heard about it on the Midnight Podcast and Buzz will throw in some fun extras for you!

I also get to talk to Gary Streiner, who was involved in the making of Night of the Living Dead (1968). He’s organizing the 2nd annual Living Dead Fest this year, which is a huge celebration of NOTLD. He’ll also be appearing next week in a Skype call, and it’s open to fans for their questions. Get in on the call!

I screwed up last week, and forgot to add in the review for Zombies: A Record of the Year of Infection. It’s in the show this week, I guarantee!

Brian in Colorado reviews Fall Wild Ale from local brewery New Belgium. Here’s their impressive sustainability statement: http://www.newbelgium.com/sustainability

Mastiffman reviews Gangs of the Dead – AKA Last Rites (2006), and the rest of the episode is devoted to discussion of the box office hit Zombieland. A lot of people contributed their thoughts, which is fantastic! Apocalypse Dan even covers Surviving Zombieland in this week’s Survival 101.
