- Quarantine is getting a sequel. It’s aiming to be completely original, having nothing to do with REC/REC2.
- The new teaser/trailer and 3 short clips for REC2 have been released.
- Crazy Shakespearean zombie film Romeo & Juliet vs. The Living Dead makes its premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival on June 26th.
- New independent film about cannibalism during the zombie apocalypse — Bled White.
- Michael Jackson wants to open a “Thriller” Casino in Vegas. Awesome! Can’t wait!
- Jonathan Maberry just closed a major deal with Simon & Schuster for a pair of Young Adult novels set in the years following the zombie apocalypse. He has also participated in an invitation-only zombie anthology to be published in early 2010 by St Martins Press. The line-up also includes Max Brooks, Brian Keene, David Wellington, Joe Hill,John Connolly, Tim Lebbon, Rick Hautala, Tad Williams, and Joe R. Landsdale. It’s called The New Dead.
- Left 4 Dead 2 has just been announced to be released this November, only one year after the first.
- New trailer available for Dead Rising 2.
- New trailer for Dead Space: Extraction is available, and the release date for this Wii-only game is September 29, 2009.
- Resident Evil is coming to the Sony PSP somehow.
- If you’re in the London area, head over to The Big Chill music festival, where they will be attempting the world’s largest zombie walk — it’s being filmed for a mockumentary called I Spit on Your Rave.
- In Seattle, a man was arrested after dressing as an Umbrella Corporation zombie from Resident Evil as part of a zombie crawl.
